Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Alliance Francaise workshop at CQU Rockhampton

The CQ Alliance Francaise will conduct a French language workshop at CQU Rockhampton (Bldg 18) on the weekend of June 16-17.

This event is aimed at those CQ Alliance Francaise students who are at the intermediate and advanced level and also for students from other Alliance Francaise branches across Australia.

Organiser Susan Yates said people will be attending from Darwin, Lismore, Wollongong and Sydney.

"There will be 2 dinners as part of the social side of the program and on the last day our visitors will be shown the sights of the city," Ms Yates said.
