Mackay residents can get healthy, wealthy and wise thanks to Open Day

Mackay residents can gain tips on becoming more healthy, wealthy and wise, thanks to CQUniversity Mackay's annual Open Day, from 10am - 2pm this Saturday August 21.

The free event includes ‘healthy expo' advice, demonstrations and even a bit of massage.

Visitors can boost their wealth prospects thanks to careers advice from industry professionals and tips from financial planners.

There's plenty of options for the ‘getting of wisdom' too with academics available to discuss the full range of degree programs.

And current students can also benefit as local clubs and organisations are sending representatives to sign up new members.

Open Day organiser Michelle Hufton said the event should interest whole families, not just those considering tertiary study.

"We really opened up Open Day to the wider community," she said.

"If visitors come to the Open Day, they can enter the competition to win an Apple iPad."
