Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Mackay students able to aim for Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Prize 

Students enrolled in environmental science at CQUniversity Mackay now have an additional reason to succeed in their studies.

The highest-achieving first-year student will gain the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Prize, worth $1000.

The company's annual prize contribution, facilitated by CQUniversity, aims to encourage and reward students who may one day be in a position to increase the sustainability of the resources industries.
