Farewell to Sesha
Published on 05 February, 2003
It was with regret that the Faculty of Engineering & Physical Systems recently farewelled a popular and long-serving member of staff, Bapu Seshaprasad (Sesha).
Sesha’s professional field of expertise, namely, computer based power system modelling and simulation has been put to good use during his lecturing career, which has spanned 15 years.
He has been particularly popular with students both past and present and he says that the contact with his students is what he will miss most.
Simultaneously with his teaching career, Sesha, together with close family members, has been active in establishing and promoting a growing business in India.
The company manufactures microprocessor-based burner control systems for boilers and Sesha will be instrumental in establishing the import of these into Australia. Other components will be exported to India achieving Sesha’s wish to foster better relations between the two countries.
With family, friends and business interests in Australia, he will be a regular visitor to our shores and will be spending two weeks back at CQU from 15 to 30 May, 2003.
