Student 'mad scientists' make a splash for Under 8's Week

Under 8's week is just around the corner and to help celebrate, the Mad Scientists are coming to a library near you, with their theme ‘Make a splash' .

Join in the fun, as the crazy, absent-minded scientists show you a thing or two that you probably didn't know you could do with water.

Discover how salt water can turn potatoes into rubber; how you can make cold water boil with a handkerchief; how you can make a rainbow appear; and much, much more.

The mad scientists will be coming to both Rockhampton libraries in the afternoon, so whichever side of Rockhampton you live on, the kiddies will not miss out on the fun.

This is all thanks to the Early Childhood students of Central Queensland University in partnership with the southside and northside libraries.

Times:

Monday May 21, southside library from 3.30pm - 4.30pm.

Tuesday May 22, northside library from 3pm - 4.30pm.
