Scott wins Engineering scholarship

Recently-graduated Year 12 Whitsunday Anglican School student, Scott Harrison was announced as one of the Central Queensland University (CQU) Bachelor of Engineering (Co-op)/Diploma of Professional Practice (Engineering) scholarship winners.

PhotoID:3659 Twelve scholarships in total were distributed to school leavers in the Central and South-East Queensland area, each worth $1000. The awards were based on leadership skills, team work, problem solving skills and grades.

Scott was thrilled to hear the news and is looking forward to having the extra money to use towards tuition and text books.

“It’s going to be less of a burden out of mine and my parent's pocket,” said Scott.

Scott is enrolling in the same program as his older brother Todd, who is about to commence his first 6-month, paid work placement at G & S Engineering as part of the Bachelor of Engineering (Co-op)/Diploma of Professional Practice.
