Distance no barrier to obtaining degree

Distance is no barrier to obtaining a degree at CQUniversity; Yulia Danilova is living proof.
Although living and working in Adelaide, where she also volunteers as an ambulance officer, Yulia is enrolled in a Bachelor of Paramedic Science degree with CQUniversity.

Yulia grew up in the Russian port city of Vladivostok and arrived in Australia with her family as a teenager - 'the worst time to be moving schools'.
Despite having to brush up on English at a language centre, Yulia did have one ace up her sleeve as her Russian-taught maths skills proved to be more advanced than the Australian school standard.
Having completed school in Adelaide, Yulia decided to volunteer as an ambulance officer to try out her chosen career path as a paramedic.
Yulia earlier this year attended her first Paramedic Science residential school at CQUniversity's Rockhampton Campus and said she enjoyed meeting other students from around Australia.
CQUniversity offers more than 100 distance education programs, giving students the flexibility to study at their own pace while balancing work and family commitments.
Study areas include Built Environment and Design; Business, Accounting and Law; Education; Engineering, Mining and Technology; Health and Medical Science; Humanities, Social Science and Psychology; Multimedia and Information Technology; and Science and Environment.
