Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Study Abroad advisers visit

Ten Study Abroad advisers from American universities and colleges will visit CQU Rockhampton on Wednesday (June 23) as part of a tour of campuses aligned with AustraLearn.

AustraLearn arranges Australian study opportunities for American students wanting to complete part of their degree overseas.

The organisation has recently extended its target audiences to include 'Studies Beyond the Study Abroad Program', which focus on postgraduate programs.

During their visit, the advisers will tour CQU's northside and southside facilities as well as the wider city and coastal areas.
