Academic Gowns Reach New 'Heights'

Central Queensland University Corporate Events Manager Gina Yarrow presented Heights College Headmaster’s Assistant Andrew Johnson and students with 100 blue graduation gowns this week.
The gowns are former CIAE (Capricornia Institute of Advanced Education) academic dress, which are superseded by the current university standard black gowns.
Mr Johnson said the school intends to use the gowns for creative arts classes, choir events, theatre restaurants and musical performances.
Ms Yarrow said she was pleased the gowns will get some valuable use by the students.
“Heights College has been a keen supporter of charity door knocks, such as the Red Shield Appeal, which the University has coordinated, so the University was pleased to be able to give something back to the school.”.
This year Heights College has 450 enrolled students from preschool to year 12.
