Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Graduate releases debut country album 

CQU marketing graduate and MBA student Kimber Sparks, from CQU Gold Coast, has released her debut album entitled It's Her Turn - a country music album of original songs which features the single Nowhere to Go.

The album follows Kimber's previous EP Go Get EM Girl, which produced 3 chart singles and video clips.

Produced by Bill Chambers and featuring Country's A-List of musicians, It's Her Turn contains several co-written tracks and a duet with Bill, plus the much-anticipated duet with USA Country legend Vern Gosdin - Chiselled in Stone, which was written by Vern and Max D. Barnes, and was the 1989 CMA Song of the Year in USA.
