Who can resist a Broadway tune?

If you love the songs, ensembles and dance routines from well-loved Broadway shows, then here is a concert not to be missed.

Following the phenomenal success of 'Footloose', 'The Sentimental Bloke' and 'Chicago', students from the Bachelor of Music Theatre program at Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) will perform favourite songs and dance routines from well-loved Broadway shows of yesteryear.

PhotoID:1592 CQCM staff and students will perform selected numbers from such popular shows as ‘Cabaret’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘The Secret Garden’, and ‘Anything Goes’ by Cole Porter.

“Many of these shows have been revived over and over again through the years,” said CQCM Sub-Dean and musical director Judith Brown.

“They have stood the test of time and are enormously popular, particularly for those who would like to reminisce,” she said.

Trevor Green, CQCM dance lecturer, has choreographed one of the dance routines in the program and Judith Brown and CQU lecturer Garrick Jones will provide musical direction.
