Seoul nurses enjoy education in Rockhampton

Five South Korean nurses have been farewelled after upgrading their qualifications to bachelor degree level, during an 18-month stint in Australia.

The Seoul group has been hosted by Mercy Aged Care Services and the Mater Hospital Acute Care Unit as part of their studies in the Bachelor of Health (Nursing) degree with the CQU School of Nursing and Health Studies. Bethany Aged Care spokesperson Mary Wells said the professional nurses from both organisations have been privileged to work with the visitors, who were all enthusiastic about their studies.

PhotoID:872 CQU's Dawn Hay said the University appreciated the involvement of the community-based health organisations who assisted in the education of international nurses.

“The School of Nursing and Health Studies recognises the valued input from all healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations in the clinical education aspects of nursing,” she said.
