About this spokesperson and Rockhampton campus international student support office Robyn Bailey says that this is a good event for the international students of the other campus who don't know that Rockhampton campus is the main campus of the CQUniversity Australia.
Students of other campuses don't know there is some city like Rockhampton and that city has a main campus of the University, especially the international students. They come from far away from their country and also from their family and just because of that they work here to get some money.
In this battle of study and work they did not get time to play; this is a chance for them to get relaxed and play for themselves. In this series students from other campuses play against a student and staff team of Rockhampton.
Team captain of students Mr Naimesh Patel says that this is the best opportunity for local students and also for the international students of the other campuses who are flying here from their cities. We get the chance to meet students from other campuses and also from other countries.
Team member from Brisbane campus Mr Sagar Patel, student of accounting, says that this is the best time for us to go to the main campus of our university and meet the staff of the main campus. "This cricket competition will be really helpful for the international kids like me that we can get a bit of relaxation and enjoyable moments without study and work".
Robyn Bailey says that this is also a good event for students and staff of Rockhampton to represent their own campus for the cricket in Chancellor's Challenge Cup Cricket. "This is a really big event for us because the cricket match will be played in different cricket grounds of the city and this event will be played for two days so this will be very important for all staff members to make this event great for international students who will fly from other campuses".
Naimesh Patel thought that the University should organize this kind of game every year - not only cricket but also some other games which international students play - and also to learn a couple of Australian games too.
