Rocky challenged to top quarter million dollars in Relay for Life

Rochampton and district residents are being challenged to once again raise more than a quarter of a million dollars in the annual Relay for Life for 2008.

Next year's Relay, a major fundraiser for Cancer Council Queensland was launched this week (Thursday, November 15) with a display at City Centre Plaza (outside Target).

Organisers are hoping to encourage friendly competition between teams across a range of community sectors. They can offer plenty of creative fundraising and team bonding ideas for the 6-month lead-up period for the big event.

Next year will be the 6th anniversary of Relay for Life in Rockhampton and once again the overnight event will be held at Central Queensland University on May 17-18.
