Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

From over 650 entries, the judges selected Jane Marek from Sunrise Beach as the overall winner. Jane received the Bay of Fires Walk donated by Anthology Travel [the prize included the Bay of Fires Walk and a $1000 travel voucher, the total prize being valued at $5200].

The five category winners (see below) all received a prize pack generously donated by Health Management Group valued at over $150.
