Besides his work at the secondary school level, Mr Roche has also been a strong supporter of tertiary education including the Council's ‘Students for the Future' program which provides financial support, mentoring, career information and guidance; student networking opportunities, site visits, and a range of networking events, to students studying the sciences and engineering.

An economist by training, Mr Roche has extensive experience in the state and federal government sectors.  He has also spent nearly nine years in senior management roles with the Australian Stock Exchange in Sydney.
