CQU was represented at this week's 'pets in crisis' launch by the dvconnect Domestic and Family Violence Service and RSPCA Qld.
Dr Nik Taylor (pictured), from Psychology and Sociology, attended the launch of the program which will care for the pets of women in domestic violence refuges.
She was on hand to answer media queries in her role as an expert on the links between domestic violence, child abuse and animal cruelty.
The program will help women who feel trapped in violent domestic situations because of concerns for their pets.
