Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Sally sallies forth with help from e-Journalism 

Former Bowen woman Sally Williams is juggling preparations for the start of her own multimedia business at the same time as planning a trip to her graduation ceremony.

PhotoID:2397 Now a Brisbane resident, Ms Williams will celebrate completion of a Bachelor of e-Journalism (majoring in Multimedia) at the CQU Rockhampton graduation ceremony on October 1.

Meanwhile, her new Meeva Multimedia business will offer various products and services, including website and game design.

Ms Williams has also been accepted into the QANTM Digital Media College in Brisbane to study Interactive Entertainment and Animation.
