India visit by Program of Psycho-Social Health Research (IPP-SHR)
Published on 11 April, 2007
The CQU-based International Program of Psycho-Social Health Research (IPP-SHR) has strengthened its international research ties in a recent visit to Trivandrum, India.
IPP-SHR Program Manager, Mr Hamish Holewa, used the visit to establish a collaborative research project funded by the Commonwealth Government's Endeavour India Research Fellowship, awarded to IPP-SHR researchers earlier this year.
The visit also enabled IPP-SHR to consolidate its partnership with the Austral-Asian Journal of Cancer. This multi-disciplinary journal is the first cancer journal to be published out of the Austral-Asian region. IPP-SHR has negotiated with the AJC to provide all content in an Open Access format allowing any user full access to all content.
Mr Holewa's visit also cemented IPP-SHR's position as a key partner of the International Research Promotion Council (IRPC), an organisation actively focussed on promoting research activities in the developing and developed world.
According to Mr Holewa, "IPP-SHR supports the initiatives of the IRPC and we are happy to hold hands and support such an important organisation."
