Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Computer Systems Update; as of 4PM, Wednesday 6 November

Status Quo.... Computer systems at Central Queensland University are operational Wednesday following a disruption of service caused Friday night when a fire destroyed equipment that supplied "clean" electricity to campus servers and other communications equipment Officials expect a new uninterruptible power supply (which supplies "clean" power to the system) will be installed within a few business days.

Staff and students may experience intermittent interruptions in service until an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is established.
