Patients give CQU nursing students the thumbs up

Patients undergoing treatment at the Sunshine Coast Private Hospital in Maroochydore have praised the professionalism and bed-side manner of CQU’s student nurses.

PhotoID:3402 This positive feedback was provided to CQU by the hospital’s Quality Manager who had coordinated a survey of patients’ experiences as part of the hospital’s quality assurance processes.

The survey provided very positive comments about the current nursing students on the wards, praising the students for being ‘polite, courteous and professional’.

CQU’s Head of the School of Nursing and Health Studies Dr Lorna Moxham commended CQU’s academic staff for producing such great nurses.

“This is really great news and very direct feedback about how well our nursing students are performing,” Dr Moxham said.

CQU currently has 6 first-year students and 5 third-years undertaking their practical component of their nursing degrees at the hospital.
