Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Sydney hosts cream of business to freshen links

CQUniversity Sydney recently showcased the employability of our students by hosting business and community group representatives.

The event organised by Sydney's Training, Employment & Career Coaching (TECC) unit also fostered ongoing relationships with key industry organisations.

TECC Coordinator Rodney Yeomans said the networking function helped to secure future part-time, internship, work experience and volunteer placements for our students.
