Professor Paul Hyland and Dr Lee Di Milia from the Faculty of Business and Law have been engaged to study potential business benefits of a fisherman's wharf development on the Fitzroy River.
The Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries has commissioned the research.
"The brief is to prepare a report to determine the business benefits to Rockhampton commercial fishers of an integrated fish processing, wholesaling and retail seafood outlet on a fisherman's wharf," Primary Industries and Fisheries Minister Henry Palaszczuk said.
