Children welcome to walk with Uni float

Children of CQU staff or students are welcome to walk beside a CQU float being prepared for Rockhampton9s 150-year celebration street parade, on Saturday September 3.

Interested people should phone Gina Yarrow via g.yarrow@cqu.edu.au or 4923 2736.

This September marks 150 years since the Archers first landed in Rockhampton and the city is celebrating with a street parade.

The parade, to be held on Saturday September 3 at 12.30pm, will focus on Rockhampton business and community groups which have had an impact on the city over the decades.

While it is 150 years since the Archers landed on the banks of the Fitzroy, the custodianship of the land for thousands of years before that by the Darumbal people will be a feature of the celebration.
