Rocky men trade experience for school careers

Rocky men Damien O'Rourke, Bruce Hurley and Scott Finlayson have decided to use their trade experience as a springboard into careers as secondary school teachers who can specialise in industrial technology and design subjects (formerly known as manual arts).
All three are currently enrolled with the Faculty of Education and Creative Arts at Central Queensland University. They recently attended a hands-on workshop for CQU's Bachelor of Learning Management (Secondary Vocational Education and Training) degree program, hosted at Glenmore High School.
Mr O'Rourke and Mr Finlayson both have experience as cabinet makers, while Mr Hurley was previously a bricklayer.
