Engineering Dean joins delegation to India

CQU Professor Elizabeth Taylor, Dean of the James Goldston Faculty of Engineering and Physical Systems, has joined the 13-member Queensland universities delegation to India and Sri Lanka.
The delegation is visiting India in conjunction with the Queensland Universities Cricket Team tour led by former Australian captain Allan Border.
Professor Taylor will today (Friday, March 26) attend a formal poolside reception hosted by the Hon. Paul Braddy, Chair of the Queensland Education and Training International Board, at the Taj Coromandel Hotel in Chennai (India).
The tour itinerary also includes Colombo in Sri Lanka and Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Delhi in India.
Along the route, delegates will all contribute to a seminar series with topics ranging from risk management and sustainable development to intelligent robotic systems and biotechnology.
Professor Taylor will contribute with an address about engineering and physical systems.
In a busy start to 2004, Professor Taylor has also been recognised as an Officer in the Order of Australia (AO) and will be a guest of the ABC Radio Conversations program on May 5.
