Former Conservatorium lecturer sings for 95,000 in Melbourne

Former Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music lecturer and CQU Professional Doctorate graduate Dimitri Kopanakis is a regular performer at University graduations, but his latest gig was a little larger.

PhotoID:2888 Dimitri sang the Greek National Anthem for last night\'s capacity crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, before the Australia v Greece soccer match. The performance was televised and beamed into the homes of millions of people.

It\'s not the only occasion that Dimitri has appeared on a top-rating television show - he performed as a singing waiter for the Australian Idol finalists last year.
