The first Norwegian student has arrived at CQU Fiji - Anders Fjesme is from Oslo, Norway.

After Anders completed his high school studies in June 2000 he joined the army. In Norway it is compulsory for all males to enlist for at least 12 months when they have completed their high school studies. As soon as Anders completed his service with the Army, he commenced work in a hospital as a caregiver. Anders first heard about CQU on a Norwegian Internet site. He finally decided on CQU Fiji because he wanted something different and definitely warmer than his current climate. Whilst Anders occasionally feels home sick, he finds everyone at the Campus, students and staff alike, friendly and helpful.

PhotoID:272 When asked if CQU Fiji has met all his requirements and expectations his answer is "YES, very much so". Actually, he does not want to leave.

In his spare time he loves skiing, playing football, and he also has an open water diving certificate.

Anders is currently studying the Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and plans on returning to Norway to work in advertising when he completes his study.
