Wide Bay research students invited to meet peers for networking and support

Doctoral and Masters by research students from the Wide Bay region are welcome to network and gain peer support by attending a monthly gathering at CQUniversity Bundaberg Campus.

These late afternoon (4pm-6pm) social events will start on March 11 and continue on the second Friday of each month. Details are available via 4150 7153 or y.rajathurai@cqu.edu.au .

Organiser Yogi Raja, a PhD student from CQUniversity, said the monthly social event would be open to students from all universities. This initiative comes after  interest from a Curtin University doctoral student and a USQ PhD student who reside in the Wide Bay area.

"Those attending will be able to bounce ideas off their peers and senior academics in a casual setting". he said. " The Doctoral journey can be quite isolating at times, so hopefully this group will give students the opportunity to talk and reflect upon their experiences, and to participate in a supportive learning community".
