CQUniversity is calling out to all sports enthusiasts to be tested to see if they have what it takes to be an Olympian in 2012.

The University will hold a Talent Identification Program session at Rockhampton's Sports Expo on Sunday January 18 from 9:30am to 1:30pm at the Rockhampton Showgrounds.

The session will involve a series of basic fitness tests that will be recorded on the day and given to the Australian Sports Commission (ASC). The ASC will then look at the results and subsequently identify individuals with great potential within given sports.

Participants of a particularly high standard may be invited to participate in a national development program.

The testing is open to anyone who is keen, with the only restriction being age (between 12-29 years).

Interested persons can register online at www.ausport.gov.au/etid by following the prompts to "book test session now". A booking fee of $22 does apply to all participants.

An earlier session has also been planned for January 12 at CQUniversity Rockhampton for those who are unable to make it to the Sports Expo. Regular sessions will also be made available on the website across the year.
