Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Panel to discuss the future of sport science 

CQUniversity Rockhampton will be the hosting a panel discussion on whether or not sport science is meeting the needs of sport, next Thursday, 26 July from 3pm.

The panel will see leading local, national and international coaches and coach educators converge on Rockhampton campus, and includes Triathlon Australia's National Manager for Coach Development Wayne Goldsmith, Latvian Academy of Sport Education's Coach Educator Elena Solovjova, Head of Rockhampton Grammar's Rowing team John Smyth and Rockhampton Cyclones Basketball Coach Heath Miller.
