Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Relay for Life committee meets at CQU Rockhampton

Members of the Relay for Life committee have met at CQU Rockhampton's sporting fields to map out tent positions for the overnight Queensland Cancer Fund fundraiser, on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20.

There's still time to register or join teams for the big event, by calling 1300 65 65 85.

So far, around 100 teams have joined the cause.

Organisers are also keen to hear from cancer survivors who would like to take part in the Survivor's Walk section of the event.
