The Sydney International Campus recently hosted a morning tea for the recipients of the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship Award.

This was the first time the award had been offered to Sydney International Campus students.

The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is offered to newly commencing international students applying for a CQU bachelor degree. Furthermore, the Scholarship selection criterion is based on the applicant's previous academic merits, where the top students are selected.

Each scholarship provides exceptional students with a 20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of their studies.

The diversity and range of the students who were awarded the scholarship further emphasised the multicultural learning environment on offer at CQU. Recipients came from a variety of countries, including Bangladesh, Korea, Malaysia, China and India.

The morning tea gave the recipients the opportunity to meet personally with the Campus Director Barbara Abou-Lehaf and Associate Director Academic Stephen Howlett, who welcomed them to CQU and congratulated the students on their scholarship.
