Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Spanish and Chinese language classes available 

CQU Language Centre is offering Spanish and Chinese classes.

Spanish beginner classes will be held each Monday from 6pm - 8pm starting from October 16. All continuing Spanish classes will remain on their current evenings, commencing in that week.

Chinese classes will continue on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm, starting on October 17. Beginners and continuing students are very welcome to attend.

The cost for 10 weeks is $160. All study material is supplied, however students may need to purchase a dictionary.

A Spanish class is available for children from 4pm to 5pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost of this course is yet to be set.
