Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Gladstone hosts research showcase for community and industry leaders

Community and industry leaders will gather at our Gladstone Campus on Tuesday evening (November 9, from 5pm) to hear about the latest projects and plans of key research groups based at CQUniversity.

The event is being co-hosted by the Process Engineering and Light Metals (PELM) Centre, the Centre for Environmental Management (CEM) and the Institute for Resource Industries and Sustainability (IRIS).

These groups play a large role in industry engagement for CQUniversity, so the evening provides an opportunity to bring researchers and industry partners together.
