Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Health trip to Cambodia described at Mackay event 

All interested people are encouraged to attend a free public presentation on the recent Mackay health service nursing and midwifery trip to Cambodia.

The trip was organised with help from CQUniversity and the Antipodeans Abroad organisation.

The presentation will be from 5.30pm on Monday, March 7, at CQUniversity Mackay's Cook Lecture Theatre in Building 1.

Midwifery lecturer Anne Eaton, who helped organise the trip, said "the health team will share their experiences and stories and encourage an active question time".
