Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Foundation presents Dimitri's farewell performance 

The CQU Foundation will present Dimitri Kopanakis in his farewell concert on Sunday November 16 at Rockhampton's historic Customs House in Quay Street.

PhotoID:943 Th concert is being presented as a personal thank-you to the residents of Rockhampton and surrounding districts for the support and encouragement shown to him over the past three years he has been working at CQU.

Dimitri is pursuing the next phase of his career in Brisbane.

"I have enjoyed the opportunities presented to me while in CQ and I have been privileged to enjoy the friendship, support and encouragement given so freely by the people of Rockhampton.".

Dimitri will be inviting other young local performers to sing with him at the concert, thus allowing them to experience this wonderful local support.
