Performer Jenna still following her (super) star
Published on 24 August, 2010
Bachelor of Performing Arts graduate Jenna Saini continues to hone her craft in Brisbane, after starring in student productions during her time at Rockhampton Campus...
Jenna has an internship with Brisbane's Harvest Rain Theatre Company and she's part of the female ensemble for a production of Jesus Christ Superstar being staged at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
Including previews, the pro-am production involves 14 shows, which keeps Jenna very busy because her ensemble is on stage for all the big numbers.
Since graduating from the Bachelor of Performing Arts degree in 2008, Jenna has done a film course and has performed with the Brisbane Arts Theatre.
She's getting work in TV commercials and currently features in a Climate Smart advertisement.
Jenna's undergraduate experience included a 6-month exchange program with Buffalo State University (State University of New York).
She performed in a 4-part chorale performance of The Messiah, participated in African American Jazz dance classes that came from the root of African American history, and auditioned for and was cast in the Buffalo State production of Antigone. Jenna also took dance workshops with professional choreographers and an acting/audition workshop with an independent theatre company.
Jenna grew up in Lismore (NSW) and she moved to Rockhampton in 2006 because of the broad experience available through the Bachelor of Performing Arts degree. Originally known as a singer and guitarist, she also thrived in dance and drama classes.
The keen performer featured in CQUniversity's production of A Chorus Line and took the lead role of 'Charity' in Sweet Charity in her final year of the BPA degree.
