Uni continues polo shirt diplomacy for Crean visit

CQUniversity has extended its polo shirt diplomacy to mark Federal Minister Simon Crean's visit to Mackay Campus this week (July 28).

Vice-Chancellor Professor Scott Bowman presented Mr Crean with a special 'Simon Says' version of the University's Be What You Want To Be polo shirt.

The Be What You Want To Be slogan also featured on a satchel presented only a few months ago to the then Deputy PM Julia Gillard. At the time, Professor Bowman made a light-hearted (and ultimately prescient) reference to her ambition to become Prime Minister.

Mr Crean is Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations; Minister for Education and Minister for Social Inclusion in the Gillard government.
