Central Queesland University’s newest Head of Campus, Associate Professor Robert Prater (pictured with VC Glenice Hancock) has commenced work at the Gladstone campus.
Professor Prater took on the role of Gladstone Head of Campus following the retirement of Mr Rex Metcalfe last year.
“As a Head of Campus I will be representing the Vice Chancellor at the Gladstone campus and will provide leadership and direction, ensuring campus activities have a cohesive focus." Bob said he had already developed the impression that Gladstone was a thriving community and believed that CQU was a key element in the city’s future development.
Previously a Deputy Academic Registrar at the University of Wollongong, Bob holds a B.A, Dip.Tert.Ed, and M.Ed (Hons, Class 1) from the University of New England and has a lengthy involvement with regional universities and a special interest in the contribution of education to regional development.
He was Vice-President (Professional Development) of the New South Wales Branch of the Association of Tertiary Education Managers from 1995-1997.
