CQU School Hosts Sports Science Series

The School of Health & Human Performance (HHP) is holding a string of Sports Science Information Sessions for all university students and the general public.
Sessions will be held monthly from May through till December and will discuss current issues and research in the areas of sports psychology, sports physiology, biomechanics, risk management and sports sociology. The aim of the sessions is to provide a service to the Central Queensland community and to raise the awareness of our School, programs, human and physical resources, testing facilities and equipment.
The first session, presented by Dr Kerry Mummery is entitled “A Guide to Psychological Skills Training for Athletes and Coaches”. The Series will commence on Wednesday 7 May 2003 at 7.30pm in Building 18/G.40 at CQU. A gold coin donation is requested to cover the costs of refreshments.
