Managing risk was the “hot property” topic at a free property industry information evening last night (August 3) at Central Queensland University from 5pm.
“Risk Management is the key to successful property investment” was presented by CQU’s Adjunct Professor of Property Terry Boyd.
Professor Boyd presented at the Mackay campus, but the session was also teleconferenced to Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Gladstone campuses.
This illustrated and interactive presentation described the return and risk perspectives of investors, developers and financiers and identified the potential roles of property valuers and property consultants in the risk management process.
Professor Boyd explained ways of measuring risk and discuss practical ways of minimizing, avoiding and transferring risk.
Professor Boyd is a registered Queensland valuer and property investor who has extensive experience as a property professional and senior academic.
