Kim continues his fishy tunes

It's always a reminder that Christmas is on the way, when Kim Kirkman and his fellow prawn friends put on their annual concert in honour of the tasty crustation most of us spend Christmas day filling up on.

Yep, that's right Kim, lecturer at CQCM, musical director and producer is winding down for the year while he gears up for one of his end of year 'prawn' concerts, from 7.30pm on Monday December 17.

In 2004, Kim and his wife Beth Allen, put together a concert  titled  'A Prawn between two Roses' and then theme continune in 2005 as 'Prawn to be Wild', in 2006 as 'Prawn Free' and this year they are set to perform  'Prawn four love'

The night will include semi-classical and operatic renditions of recognisable numbers sung by a star-studded case of performers including: Fiona Mariah (soprano), Peter Axford (bass baritone), Mark Gasser (pianist) and legend of the Con Judith Brown (pianist0.

The concert is the night after the massive performance of Carmina Burana and promises to be a more laughable, light hearted stage show.

Tickets are $15 and $10 at the door and if you are wondering what this is all about you can see more on youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9NHW6_UnSQ
