Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Melbourne students get help at a taxing time

Students at the CQU Melbourne International Campus were relieved to know that Taxation Help was provided for their Income Tax Assessment for 2005.

PhotoID:2232 Five students were selected for the campaign and attended training at the Australian Tax Office to certify for this program.

More than 200 students have attended tax consultations and were relieved to have support and a point of reference when submitting their forms.
