Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Norwegian agent warms to CQU 

Norwegian study agent Lill-Tine Paulsen chose the first day of winter to visit CQU Rockhampton but received a warm welcome.

PhotoID:2128 Rockhampton's perfect winter weather was a good conversation starter as CQU International staff helped Ms Paulsen with her familiarisation visit to the campus.

The visitor is a marketing coordinator and student consultant for Norway's Gostudy company (www.gostudy.no), which helps students match with suitable overseas universities.

Her Australian visit covers a range of universities in several different states.
