States went head to head at the Indoor Bias Bowls Nationals at the CQUniversity Sports Centre this week.

About 300 contenders from across 5 states were vying for gold during the 5-day competition which ends this Saturday.

The nationals are held each year with this year being Queensland's time to host the event.

After much discussion and voting, Rockhampton and its CQUniversity Sports Centre venue were chosen as the perfect venues for the 2008 competition. Next year the competition will be held in a different state.

Results will be listed next week. PhotoID:6191, Indoor bowls - a game of tactics and survival.
