Community urged to get involved at forum in Bundaberg

Business, industry and community representatives in the Bundaberg region will come together at the third annual CQUniversity Community Connection Forum to discuss how they can extend collaboration with CQUniversity to improve outcomes for the Central Queensland region.

The forum, hosted by CQUniversity and supported by the Regional Engagement Committee (REC), is aimed at discussing local education, training and research requirements, as well as partnership and university-community engagement opportunities which may be of benefit to the region.

CQUniversity Pro Vice-Chancellor (Community & Engagement) Professor Pierre Viljoen said the forum will also be an opportunity to hear updates on campus and dual-sector developments, as well as further opportunities that the University may pursue.

"Our Connection Forums aim to bring together our local community and discuss how we can continue to improve the relevance of our education, research and service provision in the Central Queensland region."

The free forum will be held tomorrow, Thursday, November 1 from 4.30pm at CQUniversity Bundaberg, Building 1. Refreshments will be provided.
