Ben's success comes soon after that of power engineering graduate John Quinn, who gained first place in the prestigious Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers 2010 Australasian student 'three-minute thesis' competition, held in Melbourne on November 25. LINK for John's other award successes via Quinn mighty proud of 3-minute milestone

Senior Lecturer in Electrical Power Engineering Dr Amanullah M Than Oo noted that postgraduate student Sumaira Tasnim also received an award recently during the IRIS (Institute for Resource Industries and Sustainability) conference in Rockhampton. Her presentation was on Power Loss in Transmission in a Wind Farm. LINK for  'IRIS' postgrads show they'll be a force for the future .
