Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Exhibition theme 'Threading 50 Years of Childhood' 

Final-year Bachelor of Learning Management (Early Childhood) students are hosting an exhibition under the theme 'Threading 50 Years of Childhood', in conjunction with Under 8s Week.

The exhibition will be staged at the Ron Smyth Building at 240 Quay Street.

The opening night, from 5.30pm on Friday, May 19, will include a debate on the theme 'Going, Going, Gone! Is Childhood Disappearing?'.

The exhibition will be open for viewing after opening night from Monday, May 22, to Friday, May 26, from 9am to 4.30pm each day.
