Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Digital movie making students showcase work at film screening 

For the past 12 weeks, students from CQU's Faculty of Informatics and Communication Multimedia course have been working on producing a 5-minute digital movie as part of their course.

PhotoID:2406 11 movies from 14 students will be submitted for assessment on Friday October 14 - subjects range from a documentary on computer gamers to a reworking of a classic fairytale.

THE FACTORY TOUR.

THE BOY WHO WOULD BE KING.

and DO IT AT THE TRACK.

To celebrate the talent of these students, a screening of their work will take place on Thursday, October 27, from 6pm, in the Harvard Lecture Room (building 32/ G.18).
